REFUND AND RETURN POLICY - Aura Home Store

At Aura Home Store, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that buying furniture online requires trust, and we're committed to making your experience as smooth as possible. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our procedures.


Return Window

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date for most items. To be eligible for a return, items must meet the conditions outlined below.

Important: The 30-day return window begins on the date of delivery, not the date of purchase. Please inspect your items immediately upon delivery.


Return Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following conditions:

✅ Unused and unassembled - Item must be in new, unused condition
✅ Original packaging - Item must be in original packaging with all materials intact
✅ All components included - All hardware, parts, accessories, and documentation must be included
✅ No damage - No scratches, dents, stains, or other damage
✅ Proof of purchase - You must provide your order number and receipt

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Items that have been assembled or partially assembled
  • Items with missing parts or hardware
  • Items that show signs of use, wear, or damage
  • Items with removed or damaged tags or labels
  • Items not in original packaging

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

❌ Custom or personalized furniture
❌ Made-to-order items
❌ Clearance or final sale items (marked as such at time of purchase)
❌ Items damaged due to misuse, abuse, or improper assembly attempts
❌ Items purchased more than 30 days ago


Return Shipping Costs

Customer Responsibility:

  • You are responsible for paying return shipping costs
  • We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service with insurance for furniture items
  • Return shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

Estimated Return Shipping Costs:

  • Small items: $25-50
  • Medium furniture: $75-150
  • Large furniture: $150-300+

Important: Due to the size and weight of furniture, return shipping can be expensive. Please consider this before initiating a return.


How to Initiate a Return

Step 1: Contact Us Email us at newuniquetrending@gmail.com or call 856-244-7832 within 30 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos of the item in original packaging (if applicable)

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization We will review your request and, if approved, provide you with:

  • Return authorization number (RMA)
  • Return shipping instructions
  • Return address

Important: Do not ship items back without a return authorization number. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Step 3: Pack and Ship

  • Repack item in original packaging
  • Include all parts, hardware, and documentation
  • Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package
  • Ship to the address provided
  • Keep your tracking number

Step 4: Tracking Email us your tracking number at newuniquetrending@gmail.com so we can monitor the return shipment.


Refund Processing

Timeline:

  • Returns are processed within 5-10 business days after our supplier receives and inspects the returned item
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Please allow 5-7 additional business days for the refund to appear in your account (depending on your bank)

Refund Amount:

  • Full product price (minus original shipping costs)
  • Return shipping costs are not refunded
  • Restocking fees may apply (see below)

Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may be applied if:

  • Item is returned without original packaging
  • Item shows minor signs of handling
  • Return is due to buyer's remorse (not defect or damage)

No restocking fee will be charged for:

  • Defective items
  • Damaged items
  • Wrong items shipped

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different item:

  1. Return the original item following our return process
  2. Place a new order for the item you want
  3. Once your return is processed, you'll receive a refund

This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible rather than waiting for the return to be processed first.


Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will make it right at no cost to you.

Report Damage Within 48 Hours: Contact us immediately at newuniquetrending@gmail.com or 856-244-7832 with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damage (packaging AND product)
  • Description of the defect or damage

Our Resolution Options:

  1. Full replacement
    • We'll send a new item at no charge
  2. Full refund
    • Including original shipping costs
  3. Partial refund
    • If you wish to keep a slightly damaged item

Return Shipping for Damaged/Defective Items:

  • We will provide a prepaid return label
  • OR issue a full refund without requiring return (for severely damaged items)
  • You will not be charged return shipping for damaged or defective items

Important: Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. After 48 hours, standard return policies apply.


Wrong Item Received

If we shipped the wrong item to you:

Contact us immediately at newuniquetrending@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Photo of the item you received
  • Description of what you ordered vs. what you received

We will:

  • Send you the correct item at no charge
  • Provide a prepaid return label for the wrong item
  • OR let you keep the wrong item and still send the correct one (at our discretion)

Cancellations

Before Shipment:

  • Contact us immediately at newuniquetrending@gmail.com or 856-244-7832
  • We will attempt to cancel your order with our supplier
  • If successful, you'll receive a full refund within 5-7 business days
  • If the supplier has already processed the order, cancellation may not be possible

After Shipment:

  • Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled
  • You may refuse delivery and the item will be returned to our supplier
  • Standard return policies and return shipping costs will apply
  • OR you can accept delivery and initiate a return

Partial Cancellations: If you ordered multiple items that ship separately, we may be able to cancel items that haven't shipped yet. Contact us immediately.


Refused Deliveries

If you refuse delivery of your order:

  • You will be charged return shipping costs (deducted from your refund)
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Refund will be processed once the item is returned to our supplier
  • A restocking fee may apply

Refusal due to damage: If you refuse delivery due to visible package damage, contact us immediately with photos. We will waive return shipping costs and provide a full refund or replacement.


Lost Packages

If tracking shows delivered but you didn't receive it:

  1. Check with neighbors and building management
  2. Verify the delivery address on your order confirmation
  3. Wait 24-48 hours (carriers sometimes mark packages delivered early)
  4. Contact us at newuniquetrending@gmail.com

We will:

  • File a claim with the shipping carrier
  • Investigate with our supplier
  • Issue a replacement or full refund once the claim is resolved (typically 7-14 business days)

If tracking shows lost in transit:

  • Contact us immediately
  • We will file a claim with the carrier
  • Issue a replacement or full refund once confirmed lost

Quality Guarantee

While we work with trusted suppliers who inspect products before shipping, we cannot personally inspect each item. If you receive an item that doesn't meet your quality expectations:

Manufacturing Defects:

  • Covered under our damaged/defective policy
  • Full refund or replacement at no cost to you

Quality Not as Expected (but not defective):

  • Standard return policy applies
  • You pay return shipping
  • 15% restocking fee may apply

International Returns (Canada)

Canadian customers:

  • Same 30-day return window applies
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs to our supplier (typically in the US)
  • You are responsible for any customs fees or duties on the return shipment
  • Original customs fees and duties are non-refundable
  • Refunds issued in USD and converted by your bank

Return shipping from Canada:

  • Can be expensive ($100-300+ depending on item size)
  • We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method
  • Keep all customs documentation

Restocking and Inspection

When we receive your return:

  1. Our supplier inspects the item within 3-5 business days
  2. We verify it meets return eligibility requirements
  3. If approved, refund is processed
  4. If denied, we'll contact you with photos and explanation
  5. You can choose to have the item shipped back to you (at your expense) or donate it

Returns may be denied if:

  • Item has been assembled or used
  • Original packaging is missing or damaged
  • Parts or hardware are missing
  • Item shows signs of wear or damage
  • Item was not returned with RMA number

Refund Denials and Disputes

If your return is denied:

  • We will email you with detailed explanation and photos
  • You can appeal the decision by providing additional information
  • If the appeal is denied, you can request the item be returned to you (you pay shipping)

Dispute Resolution: If you disagree with our decision, please contact us at newuniquetrending@gmail.com to discuss. We're committed to finding a fair resolution.


Store Credit Option

Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive store credit for:

  • 100% of the product price (no restocking fee)
  • Store credit never expires
  • Can be used on any future purchase

This option is faster than waiting for a refund and waives the restocking fee.


Special Circumstances

Holidays and Peak Seasons: During busy periods (Black Friday, holidays), return processing may take longer. We'll notify you of any delays.

Discontinued Items: If an item is discontinued and you need a replacement, we'll offer:

  • Full refund
  • Store credit for 110% of purchase price
  • Comparable replacement item (if available)
